UECNA and Transport & Environment had a very constructive consultative meeting with EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) today. Together with T&E we want to exert influence on environment matters at all levels to improve the situation for the communities around airports.
At this first meeting UECNA was represented by his president Dominique Lazarski, Transport & Environment by his president and part of his aviation team (respectively William Todts with Bill Hemmings and Andrew Murphy). We were invited to meet an EASA team, composed of Luc Tytgat, director of strategy and safety management, Willem Franken, Environmental Matters Coordinator, Carlos Salazar, head of the EASA Brussels office, and Steve Arrowsmith, Chief Expert – Environmental Protection.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss environmental aspects of aviation and build a constructive relationship between EASA and the two NGOs. UECNA is happy to be part of this project.
