Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport (Spanish: Aeropuerto Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas) is the largest international airport in Spain. Opened in 1928, it is also the home base of the Spanish airline Iberia.
In 2019, the airport handled 61.7 million passengers. This makes it the fifth largest airport in Europe in terms of passenger numbers. The airport has a capacity of 70 million passengers per year. In 2019, the airport handled more than 426,000 incoming and outgoing flights.
