The Citizens Coalition Brussels Region counts more than 15 action groups in the Brussels Airport region we have 4 priorities to reduce significantly the impact of the airport on public health and wellbeing of residents as well as on the environment:

1. Reduction and prohibition of night flights;
2. Absolute ceiling on total number of flight movements (annual 220000 + 74 during peak hours);
3. Low emission zone in the air (noise, CO2, fine dust particles, nitrogen);
4. Noise and overflight frequency standards for aviation in Flanders ensure less noise nuisance on the ground and an objective and balanced limitation of nuisance for all residents in the airport region in combination with drastic expansion of network of measuring/monitoring points (2-4-8-12-16 km from airport midpoint) (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aeAUB0820k4 )
