Rome–Ciampino International Airport reached the quota of over 5,885,812 passengers in 2017, is mainly of civil type and is managed by the company Aeroporti di Roma (AdR), together with the intercontinental Leonardo da Vinci Airport of Fiumicino, with which it forms the airport system of Rome with over 46.8 million passengers in 2017.
It is an international airport serving low-cost airlines, cargo and general aviation. In 2021, the Lazio Regional Administrative Court and the Council of State confirmed the validity of a 2018 ministerial decree that limits the maximum number of daily air movements for the airport to 65.
Noise Pollution and the Community
Rome–Ciampino is located south-east of Rome, just beyond the Grande Raccordo Anulare, falling for 3/4 in the territory of Rome and for 1/4 in the territory of Ciampino.
