Demo against expansion of Roissy Airport

On 10th October citizens demonstrated against plans to expand Paris’s Roissy Airport. The project anticipates a 19% increase in traffic by 2050, equating to 344 additional flights per day. The citizens argued that the consultation, which should have been to about hearing people’s views, was primarily been used to promote the project.

New report compares rail & air fares

A new report from Greenpeace Europe has found that of the 109 cross-border routes analysed only 39%  were cheaper by train – In contrast, the results for the 33 domestic routes analysed were 70% being cheaper by train.
